Event 2: Coaching lab: The Humanitarian Coaching Network: Humanizing the Humanitarian Space, by Jason Igani (18.03.2025, 15:00-16:30 CEST)

The HCN was created in 2012 in an attempt to democratize access to coaching support for humanitarian and development staff, particularly for those serving in the vulnerable and complex duty stations and those that had been historically underserved for such services.

To this end, The HCN has recruited a global roster of over 900 professional coaches that volunteer their time to organizations working towards the betterment of the world. Through partnership with The HCN, organizations are enabled to support the wellbeing and development of their staff at a scale and cost that would be otherwise impossible.

The purpose of the session is:
•        To introduce IOCN members and the organizations they serve to The HCN as a unique resource to the humanitarian and development field.
•        To provide IOCN with a clear view into its operation and deeper insight into its mission
•        To share some of the most valuable learning The HCN has generated over the past 13 years
•        To open a dialogue from which greater collaboration between IOCN and The HCN might emerge, especially during times of uncertainty and scarcity such as these

Event 3: Coaching lab: Neurodiversity in Coaching: Inclusive Practices to Empower Global Change-Makers, by Susan MacKay, PCAC, ACC  (08.04.2025, 15:00-16:30 CEST)

The session unpacks what neurodiversity really means, why it matters in coaching, and how to foster more inclusive, empowering spaces for clients with diverse ways of thinking. Through practical tools, real-life case studies, and reflective exercises, participants will leave with greater confidence, curiosity, and strategies to support neuro-distinct clients and neurodiverse teams – enhancing your coaching impact in today’s increasingly challenging global landscape
